When it's time to replace a dryer, the gas versus electric question comes up almost immediately. How Each Type Works

Gas dryers use a gas burner to generate heat, ignited by a glow igniter. They require a gas line connection at the dryer location and a standard 120-volt outlet for the motor and controls.
